Country Chicken Dum briyani (One Pot)

From the store ??
- Basmati rice 1/2 kg
- Country Chicken 1/2 kg
- Oil 100ml ( Rice bran or refined oil )
- Onion 200g
- Tomato 200g
- Cinnamon 1g
- Cardamom 1g
- Clove 1g
- Pandan leaves
- Coriander leaves 1/2 hand
- Mint leaves 1/2 hand
- Ginger garlic paste 75g
- Red chilli powder 1 tblspn
- Salt 1tblspn
- Curd 100ml
- Green chillies 2 or 3
- Lemon 1/4th

π Add curd and stir it.
π Drop in the tomatoes and give it a mix for 5 minutes. You can find the oil oozing out
π Splash salt as given or as per your taste
π Pour 750ml of water and cover it with a lid. Let it boil for 2 minutes in high flame and 5 to 6 minutes in low flame
π Add chicken pieces and stir it will for 10 seconds so that masalas get mixed well. Cover it for 2 minutes and cook
π Add the cleaned rice and give it a quick stir. Make sure to stir it gently so that the chicken pieces and rice doesn't break
π Close the vessel with a lid and allow it to boil for one minute in high flame and then open , give it a quick stir
π It's time to check for salt and spice. If needed , adjust it as per your taste. Squeeze 1/4th lemon for extra sourness of needed
π Make sure the rice and chicken pieces are under water. Close the vessel tightly by placing a weight on top and leave it for 15 minutes in low flame
π After 15 minutes, open the lid and your Dum briyani is ready to be served hot !!
