Mulberry muffins recipe

  Mulberry Muffins Muffins and cupcakes are kids all time favorite to bake. I love baking at all times and this is the recipe which I tried today and of course the muffins came out soft and spongy. Baking is always been a stress buster for me. Try this recipe and I can guarantee that it will not disappoint you in anyway. Ingredients: 🍰  Maida / All purpose flour-1 cup   🍰 Eggs -2 🍰 Sugar- 3/4 cup 🍰 Butter- 100grams (salted) 🍰 Baking powder- 1tsp 🍰 Milk- 1/4 cup 🍰  Vanilla essence- 2tsp 🍰 Mala's mulberry crush - as per your taste How to make ?? 🍰 Beat the butter well in a large bowl with a whisk 🍰 Add sugar and whisk until well combined 🍰 Add eggs one by one and mix well 🍰 Sift and add maida and baking powder  into the butter sugar mixture 🍰 Fold everything slowly until maida is combined with the rest of the ingredients 🍰 Add milk  🍰 Add vanilla essence and fold the mixture 🍰 Muffin batter is ready 🍰 Preheat oven at 175c for 10minutes 🍰 Fill the muffin cups with 3

Vendaika Puli Kulambu ( Okra Curry )

Vendaika Puli Kulambu ??  Puli kulambu with hot rice and appalam is a satisfying meal. Every south Indian household will have their own version of Puli kulambu.  Do try this lunch time curry and enjoy !!  From the store ??  Vendaika or okra 100 g  Oil 3 tblspn Cumin seeds 1/2 tspn Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tspn Onion one small chopped Tomato 1 small chopped Curry leaves 2 sprigs Curry masala powder 2 tblspn Tamarind juice 1/2 cup Salt to taste  Water 200 ml  In the kitchen ??   Heat oil in a pan. Add vendaika or okra and fry for 4 to 5 mins. Once it changes colour, transfer to a plate. In the same oil , add Fenugreek and cumin seeds . Saute for a minute Add curry leaves and onion . Fry them for 2 minutes  Add   vendaika ( okra ) and saute for a minute. Cook it for 2 minutes  Add tomato and cook for another 2 minutes  Add curry masala , water and salt . Let it boil  Add tamarind juice and let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes  Add coconut paste . Let it come to a boil  Serve hot !!  Do

Roasted Potato Poriyal

Potato fry ?? Potatoes are very good side dish to go with rasam, sambhar , curd rice and lemon rice. It is an easy to make recipe in your lazy days. It is a South Indian dish and there is no one who dislikes it.  Let's get started with the recipe!! From the store?? Oil 3tblspn Mustard Seed 1/4 tsp Urad dal 1/4 tsp Dried red chilli 1 Curry leaves Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp Onion 1medium finely chopped Potatoes 200g peeled and diced  Sambhar powder 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp Salt to taste Water 1/2 cup In the kitchen?? Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds , urad dal , dried red chilli and curry leaves . Saute for a minute Add ginger garlic paste and saute. Add onions . Allow them to change colour Add the diced potatoes Add sambhar powder , turmeric powder and salt . Mix well  Pour 1/2 cup water and close the pan with a lid. Cook in low flame for 10 minutes After 10 minutes, open the lid and cook in low flame for 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Let the potatoes roast nicely

Onion Kara Chutney

Chutney ??   Chutney is a lip smacking dish to pair with dosa, idli, uttappam, upma etc.. It can be normally found in south India households for breakfast and dinner. We have varieties of chutneys that is made with different ingredients. Let's get started with the recipe!! From the store ??   Onions-2 large chopped  Urad dal/ulundhu parupu - 1 tblspn Masala parupu/Channa dal-1 tblspn Garlic - 8 cloves Dry red chilli-3  Tamarind pulp - 1tblspn Oil - 2 tblspn Salt - to ttaste For seasoning : Oil - 1tsp Mustard Seed/kaduku-1tsp Urad dal-1tsp Curry leaves-1 strand In the kitchen ?? Heat oil in a pan. Add urad dal and Channa dal . Let them fry for a minute Add in the red chillies and garlic and fry till they are golden brown. Once they turn golden , transfer them to a plate In same pan, add onions and salt . Tamarind Rasam

  Rasam ??  Rasam is always soothing and comforting to the stomach and it aids in digestion. Rasam is normally popular in South Indian households. It is prepared with a sweet-sour stock. We have varieties of rasam which uses various ingredients.  Rasam sadham (rice) is usually a better option in sick days. Let's get started with the recipe !!  From the store ??  Tamarind - lemon size Water - 200ml Turmeric powder - 1tbsp Pepper - 2tsp Cumin seeds - 1tsp Fennel seeds - 1tsp Onion - 3 to 4 small size Tomato - 1 small size Garlic cloves - 3 Curry leaves - 2 to 3 strands Coriander leaves - 2 to 3 strands Salt - to taste Oil - 2 tbsp In the kitchen ??  1. Soak tamarind in water for about 1/2 hour 2. Strain tamarind juice in a vessel and adjust the taste by adding water as per your taste. Here I have added 200ml of water 3. Add 1tbsp of turmeric powder  4. Grind the pepper , cumin , garlic and fennel seeds using mortar and pestle. Add the masala to the tamarind juice  6. Add onion, tomat

Dal Tadka ( Bachelor's recipe )

  Dal Tadka ??  Dal curry pops out of our mind during lazy days. It is a very easy recipe to try for beginners. It goes well with a hot steamed rice and rasam. It will be extra heaven when topped with appalam. Dal is super selection for a simple lunch meal. It is kids friendly too. It is an Indian dish with vibrant yellow colour. From the store ??  Moong dal ( paasi parupu ) 1/4 cup Water 200ml Ghee or coconut oil 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds 1/2 TSP Onion 1 small size (finely chopped) Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp Green chillies 2 Tomato 1 small sized (finely chopped) Salt as per taste  Coriander leaves  In the kitchen ??  Wash moong dal 2 to 3 times and soak in water for half hour Add moong dal and a pinch of turmeric powder to cooker and cook it for 5 to 6 whistles  In a pan, heat oil. Add cumin seeds and allow it to sizzle Add onion and wait till it turns transparent Add green chillies and tomato Add salt as per the taste  Drop in the cooked dal and allow it to boil for 5 minutes.
