  Mulberry Muffins Muffins and cupcakes are kids all time favorite to bake. I love baking at all times and this is the recipe which I tried today and of course the muffins came out soft and spongy. Baking is always been a stress buster for me. Try this recipe and I can guarantee that it will not disappoint you in anyway. Ingredients: 🍰  Maida / All purpose flour-1 cup   🍰 Eggs -2 🍰 Sugar- 3/4 cup 🍰 Butter- 100grams (salted) 🍰 Baking powder- 1tsp 🍰 Milk- 1/4 cup 🍰  Vanilla essence- 2tsp 🍰 Mala's mulberry crush - as per your taste How to make ?? 🍰 Beat the butter well in a large bowl with a whisk 🍰 Add sugar and whisk until well combined 🍰 Add eggs one by one and mix well 🍰 Sift and add maida and baking powder  into the butter sugar mixture 🍰 Fold everything slowly until maida is combined with the rest of the ingredients 🍰 Add milk  🍰 Add vanilla essence and fold the mixture 🍰 Muffin batter is ready 🍰 Preheat oven at 175c for 10minutes 🍰 Fill the muffin cups with 3

Potato Peas Kurma ( Urulai Pattani Kurma )

Potato Peas Kurma ??

Potato and Peas goes well together in gravies. This recipe can be paired with chapati, paroto, naan, dosa etc..

From the store ?? 

For masala paste:
  • Oil 1.5tspn
  • Cinnamon 1/4 inch
  • Cardomom 1
  • Clove 1
  • Black pepper corns 1/4 tspn
  • Fennel seeds 1/4 tspn
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tblspn
  • Onion 1/4 cup chopped
  • Tomato 3 chopped
  • Green chilly 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Cashew 7 to 8
  • 1/2 cup water to make paste 
For Kurma:
  • Oil 2 tblspn
  • Cumin seeds 1/4 tblspn
  • Curry leaves 2 sprigs
  • Onion 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric powder 1/2tblspn
  • Red chilli powder 1 tspn
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves 
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Potato 200g boiled and peeled 
  • Green peas boiled
  • Sugar a pinch 
In the kitchen ?? 
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cinnamon, clove, cardamom, pepper corns, fennel seeds. Saute them for a minute
  • Add in the onions. Let onions turn translucent


  • Add in the ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute 


  • Add tomatoes and green chillies


  • Add cashews. Mix well and transfer the mixture to a bowl. Allow it to cool down 

  • Once it cools down , make a paste by adding 1/2 cup of water in a blender 



  • In the same pan, heat some oil. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter
  • Add onions , curry leaves , turmeric powder and chill powder


  • Add the paste and adjust the consistency by adding extra water 


  • Allow it to boil and add the boiled potato and Peas. Add salt to your taste 

  • Garinsh with coriander leaves and switch off the flame 
  • Kurma is ready to serve hot !!




Notes ?? 

  • Add kashmiri red chilli powder for extra colour 
  • You can change the consistency of the Kurma by adding extra water
